The General Assembly of the Chamber of Works Contractors of Catalonia (CCOC), which will take place on 22 May, is an annual meeting in which the results of the previous year are reviewed and key decisions are made on policies, strategies and budgets for the following year. Admission by invitation.

En esta sesión representantes de la Société National de Réalisation et de Gestion des Équipaments Sportifs (SONARGE) en Marruecos y de los equipos de Fenwick Iribarren Architects implicados en el diseño de nuevos estadios en España esbozarán los grandes desarrollos que van a transformar las infraestructuras deportivas de ambos países para el Mundial de 2030.

The session will be devoted to explaining the instruments that support the internationalisation of construction and civil engineering companies offered by ICEX upon the pillars of information, promotion, financing and information. Similarly, two success stories from the sector will be presented, those featuring the Idom and Encofrados Alsina civil engineering companies, which have succeeded in extending their technical and project management excellence from Spain to international markets around the world. Two specialists with their testimonies will outline the global competitive keys with which they’ve built their business careers.

"The construction sector has an urgent need to attract talent to alleviate the problem of generational change.
Within this context, the incorporation of women into the industry is key. Last year there was a 5.1% increase and a total of 154,837,000 female affiliated members in the sector. However, the number of women on building sites remains extremely low (barely 1%). We need to qualify, attract and retain women in an industry of the future that’s increasingly safe and stable."

This session aims to analyse the presence of women in management positions with leading experts in different professional fields of the construction sector. What factors hinder their advancement and how to boost their presence in these job roles and promote equity in the sector will be some of the issues that will be addressed in this round table.

The CONSTRUMAT Awards, created in 1985 by the organising committee of the Show, are biennial in nature and have highlighted the excellence of those works and projects of architecture and engineering based on environmentally friendly construction, the transversality of professional services and innovation, through research into construction systems and new materials.  

Technical and practical conference where the products of the Frontek and Argos brands for ventilated façades will be developed. These are two extruded porcelain products that can be covered on the façade of both new and renovation buildings, creating an elegant structure that is sustainable and efficient, as well as elegant, resulting in a 35% reduction in air conditioning and heating costs. In the case of Frontek, its honeycomb pieces allow for much easier installation while considerably reducing the weight of the façade. Attendees will be able to see a live demonstration of the different assembly systems. They will also be able to touch different pieces of the collection to check out the textures and volumes.

The Plenary Session of the Higher Council of the Associations of Architects of Spain (CSCAE) is the monthly meeting in which the councillors, representatives of the 50,000 registered architects in our country, address issues related to the defence of the profession and the protection and social dissemination of the values of architecture for the general interest.   Created in 1931, the CSCAE is the public law corporation that represents the Associations of Architects of Spain and the profession to public administrations and private entities. FECOCAT, which brings together 14 Guilds and Associations, is taking advantage of CONSTRUMAT to hold its board meeting and participate in this important event. Access by invitation only.

Construction is currently undergoing a sustainable and digital transition.
