Biography

My name is Irene Antúnez and my passion for the sea stems from the fascination I have felt for cetaceans since I was a child, which led me to choose this career. My most direct interaction with the marine environment has been participating in cetacean research projects in the Strait of Gibraltar area and participating in a sea turtle nest management project in Cape Verde. I have been working since 2017 in the department of education and training
