Morocco, guest country at Construmat 2024
New markets and business opportunities involving Spain and Morocco
Morocco is set to attend Construmat 2024 with a prominent presence of exhibiting companies, delivering several talks at the congress in a programme of professional activities to promote business between Morocco and Spain.
The co-holding of the 2030 Football World Cup by Morocco will lead to investment totalling 4,800 million euros in the country. 1,300 million euros will be allocated to the building and remodelling of stadia, while the rest will be assigned to investments in infrastructures to reinforce the transport, hotel and communications networks.
This will provide an excellent opportunity for Spanish companies, both the main construction firms that are eligible to win major contracts for the new stadia and the manufacturers that supply materials, to consolidate their operations in a market in which they traditionally have strong commercial ties.
Morocco's participation in Construmat 2024 will consist of:
Networking
A parallel event designed to promote trading relations between Moroccan and Spanish companies and the main entities in the Moroccan construction sector will be organised.
Exhibition area
A stand featuring Morocco’s Ministry of Territorial and Urban Planning which will be shared with the country’s main sectoral federations, its leading companies and the Agency for Investment and Export Development (Amdie).
Active participation in the Congress
The Moroccan delegation will also be actively involved in the congress with different talks, institutional panel discussions and presentations of significant construction projects.
A more global fair
In order to contribute to opening up new markets and international business opportunities for the participants in the fair, Construmat will also be attended by companies and professionals from key countries, including France, Portugal, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
“We’ve chosen Morocco as our guest country due to the close relationship between our markets in the construction industry, as we observed at the previous event, when it was the country that sent the most visitors. At Construmat they’ll be able to learn more about the latest trends, set up contacts with the industry’s companies and professionals from both countries and explore business opportunities”.
